Everyone deserves a time and a place to honor mental and emotional needs, heal from painful experiences, and move toward improving their lives and relationships. As the daughter of a clinical psychologist, I was raised with an unwavering belief in both the importance of mental health and the astounding resilience of human beings. While my interest in people began in childhood, my formal training in psychology began in college at the University of Delaware. I quickly learned that I had a special interest in relationships, love and sexuality. I then pursued my graduate studies at Widener University, earning a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology and master’s degree in Human Sexuality.

As a person, I bring warmth, compassion, humor and understanding to my work. Professionally, I utilize an integrative behavioral model in order to help individuals tap their emotional and cognitive resources to lead rich and fulfilling lives. When working with couples, I take an action- oriented and strengths based approach that allows the couple to see noticeable changes fairly quickly. Together, we focus on behavioral and interactive patterns that maintain ongoing issues within important areas such as communication, intimacy, and lifestyle. In harmony with making behavioral adjustments, I support the couple in developing a deeper understanding of themselves, their partner and their unit.

I deeply believe that each individual has what it takes to live a meaningful life, and that my role as a therapist is to help you discover or unlock that innate ability. Whether you would like to see me for individual or couple’s therapy, I will work alongside you, as a fellow imperfect human who feels humbled and fortunate to be a guest in your world.
