Dr. Lindsey Diamond is our resident couples expert. In addition to being a licensed psychologist, she has a masters in human sexuality and brings this unique blend of training to help couples find better communication and intimacy. Dr. Diamond uses Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Sex Therapy in her work with couples. Dr. Diamond serves as a supportive and nonjudgmental third party to work through whatever may be coming up in your relationship.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is an effective tool for working on one’s reactions to stress. We also work with clients to find better systems of organization so that typically stressful events (ie: exams, deadlines, commitments) are better seen from a bird’s eye view and therefore planned for more effectively. From college students to business executives, we work with people to find better organization, prioritization, and stress management tools.

We have extensive clinical experience with adolescents and young adults. We offer a safe space to process and heal the wide range of issues that teens and college students may endure. We understand the unique challenges of this age group.
We work with sexual and gender identity exploration, and other aspects of identity development. Additionally, we work with survivors of sexual assault, which is far too common in the college environment. If this is your experience, we offer a safe place to process and heal. You do not have to suffer through this alone.

We work with trauma compassionately, using the strongest evidence based therapies. These include: Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). As we begin working together, we will go over a treatment plan, and discuss different options for approaching and healing from trauma.
Trauma is often overlooked for symptoms that commonly co-occur, such as depression. By working with the root of the problem, your healing will be deeper and more impactful.
FAQs
How often will I attend sessions?
Many people start with weekly sessions, although bi-weekly and monthly sessions are options too. Depending on your needs, schedule, and finances, you and your individual doctor can determine what is right for you.
Do you take insurance?
We do not take insurance in network. We do provide super bills (receipts) for out of network reimbursement. If you call your insurance company and inquire about reimbursement for out of network behavioral health providers, they will indicate what percentage they will cover. Please inquire with us, we can help you navigate this process.
What will my course of treatment look like?
This varies between clients, and will depend on your individual needs and desires. We will work together to create treatment goals, and then will work in a flexible, yet intentional way to achieve these goals. We will support you, challenge you, and inspire you to work toward the change you want to see in your life.
