Teens and college students

Teenagers and college students are at a very important time in their lives. They are exploring who they are in the world as individuals and what they want from their futures. Because of this, therapy can be hugely impactful in working through questions of identity. Additionally, this age range is at higher risk for experiencing mental health issues. We work with this population in all areas of their lives, including identity, mental health, physical health, academics, family life, and relationships.

How can therapy help?

Teens can find a safe space in therapy to explore what is on their minds in an honest way, something they may not have elsewhere. Therapy can help bolster self-esteem, and decrease mental health symptoms, which in turn improves relationships and academics.

The transition from high school to college is one of the biggest changes we go through in life. This is often overlooked and can take new college students by surprise. Therapy is a great place to process this newfound independence, and learn how to be successful both academically and socially. Having a support system in this new phase of one’s life can be imperative.

Why choose us?

We have extensive clinical experience with adolescents and young adults. We offer a safe space to process and heal the wide range of issues that teens and college students may endure. We understand the unique challenges of this age group.

We work with sexual and gender identity exploration, and other aspects of identity development. Additionally, we work with survivors of sexual assault, which is far too common in the college environment. If this is your experience, we offer a safe place to process and heal. You do not have to suffer through this alone.
